Biography

Anna Vaughan is an artist and educator living in Cobb CA, where she serves as the onsite resident manager for Cobb Mountain Art and Ecology Project. She accepted a teaching position at Santa Rosa Junior College in Fall 2021, teach Ceramics. Mrs. Vaughan also serves as the Art Department Chair at Laney College in Oakland where she teaches Ceramics and Drawing. Anna's is an actively exhibiting artist, whose work has been shown at Peninsula Museum of Art, American Museum of Ceramic Art, Mills College Art Musuem, Arkansas University Museum, and public art commissions at the Alameda Juvenile Justic Center. Her involvement in the arts extends to include acting as a juror for exhibition programs at the Oakland Museum of California and serving on the board of Womens Art & Ecology Dialogue (WEAD). She has curated exhibitions for several non-profit galleries such as the June Stiengart Art Gallery, the Mercury Twenty Artist Gallery, the Pro-Arts Gallery, the NIAD Art Center, Oakland Art Gallery, and Cell Space. She received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and a MFA from Mills College.
