I have been writing about art since 1987 for publications like "American Craft"; "ARTWEEK"; "The World and I"; "American Ceramics"; "Glass Art Magazine" and for the Richmond Art Center and Craft and Folk Art Museum. For the last seven years I was art critic for "The Pacific Sun", a Marin county weekly.

I have a particular interest in the crafts and the art productions of other cultures, and have visited the pueblo cultures of the Southwest US; Oaxacan Valley potters in Mexico; Haida cultures in Canada and interviewed and written about Miwok and Pomo basketmakers. I have made three trips to India and in 1980 spent five weeks traveling and viewing art in China.
