Biography

Atalie Halpin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Art History from UCLA where she focused on the arts of the Andes.  She earned a master’s degree in Art with a focus in Art History from California State University, Chico, studying arts of the Americas and focusing on ancestral depictions in Mesoamerican art for her thesis.  Halpin’s interest in art history and education has drawn her to museum spaces, and she has interned at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, and the Janet Turner Print Museum in Chico.  She currently teaches art history survey classes and seeks to find ways to engage people with art.
