Biography

Robin Haeodong Kim studies medieval art, architecture and civilization, primarily focusing on the visual culture of the Iberian Peninsula in the Middle Ages and its relationship to the rest of the Mediterranean. She completed her PhD at Bryn Mawr College with a dissertation entitled “The Santo Sepulcro in Torres del Río (Navarra): Historiography, National Identity and a Reconsideration of ‘Mozárabic’ and ‘Mudéjar’ Architecture.” She has a second specialty in film studies, and wrote an M. A. at Bryn Mawr that analyses the intersection of theories of genre and authorship in the films of Ang Lee.
