Mask Art

 

The Art Archive Server contains thousands of images that have been scanned from the SRJC Art Department slide collection, books, art documentaries and other resources. You can download these images to use in your lectures. 

The Art Archive Server can be accessed from any SRJC Computer on the Santa Rosa and Petaluma campuses.
 
It can also be accessed at home using VMware Horizon:  https://horizon.santarosa.edu/
 
Everyone in the Art Department has access to the Art Archive Server.
 
Accessing the Art Archive Server on a MAC
Server Address:  cifs://busarchive/ArtArchive
  • After logging into your Mac, click on the Finder icon on your dock. This is the icon that is usually on the far left side of the dock.
  • On your menu bar, click on the Go menu. 
  • Select "Connect to Server".

  • In the server address box type the following:  cifs://busarchive/ArtArchive 
  • Click the + button to the right of the server address box to add this server to your list, so you can select this next time without having to paste it in. 
  • Click Connect. The network location should appear on the desktop and/or pop open automatically. 
  • To create a shortcut for easier access, make sure the Art Archive window is open, then click and drag the icon next to the words Art Archive at the top of the window bar to your dock or the Finder sidebar.

Accessing the Art Archive on a PC 
Windows XP
Server Address:  \\busarchive\ArtArchive  
  • After logging into your PC, make sure all windows are minimized and you can see your desktop. 
  • Right-click on My Computer and select Map Network Drive. 
  • For the drive letter, choose S 
  • For the folder location type the following: \\busarchive\ArtArchive
  • Check the box that says reconnect at login. The network location should appear in My Computer and pop open automatically. 
  • To access this location in the future, simply go into My Computer and double click on the L drive.

Accessing the Art Archive on a PC 
Windows 7
Server:  \\busarchive\ArtArchive
  • From the Desktop (or click on the Microsoft start icon in bottom, left of screen) Choose "Computer":

  • Choose Map Network drive in links at top of window:

  • In "Drive" scroll box, click on the down arrow next to the letter Z: and select P:
  • For the folder location type the following:  \\busstuserv\Art Archive          
  • Check the box that says "Reconnect at logon" 
  • Click Finish button 
  • The network location should appear in My Computer and pop open automatically.

*To access this location in the future, simply go into My Computer and double click on the P drive.

  • Click and drag the drive named Art Archive to your desktop
